Privacy Policy

CompanionTested is a reading site, not an app. You do not create an account here and we do not want your personal details. We load privacy-first analytics only after you consent, we never sell data, and the only cookie-like storage we set records your own consent choice. When you leave for Swipey or a rival, that other site's policy applies.
1. Who is responsible
CompanionTested is operated by the team behind Swipey AI as part of the Companion Review Collective. For any privacy question, contact [email protected].
2. What we collect
We keep data collection deliberately small:
- No accounts. There is no login, profile, or membership on CompanionTested, so we do not hold names, passwords, or payment details. We never ask for them by email and you should never send them.
- Consent-gated analytics. If you accept analytics in the consent banner, we load a privacy-first analytics beacon that records aggregate, non-identifying usage such as which pages are read and rough referrer and country. It does not run before you consent, and you can decline.
- Your consent choice. We store your banner choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every visit. That value stays on your device.
- Server logs. Our host may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability, as is normal for any website.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not build advertising profiles of you. We do not read your conversations with any AI companion app, because those happen on that app, not here. We do not place third-party advertising trackers before consent, and we do not use dark patterns to push you into accepting analytics.
4. Links to Swipey AI and other apps
When you click a link to swipey.ai, you go to our own product; that link carries internal organic tracking parameters so we can measure interest, and Swipey's own privacy policy then governs what happens there. Links to competitor apps take you to their official sites, which have their own policies we do not control. Once you leave CompanionTested, this policy no longer applies.
5. Cookies and similar storage
We use the minimum storage needed to remember your consent choice and, only after consent, to enable analytics. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy. You can clear this storage any time through your browser settings, and reopening the site will show the consent banner again.
6. Your choices and rights
You can decline analytics in the consent banner, clear stored consent through your browser, or block scripts entirely; the site still works. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because we hold so little, most requests are simple; email [email protected] and we will respond.
7. Children
CompanionTested is for adults 18 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the site, contact us and we will act.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes; the date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected here.
